Origin Health & Wellness FAQs
Whether you’ve never seen a chiropractor before or are looking for a new provider to continue your wellness, you might have questions about what we do. We’re always happy to address any of your concerns by phone. Some of the questions we get most frequently are addressed here.
If I begin care, will I have to continue for the rest of my life?
No. We encourage
our practice members to continue maintenance chiropractic care for the optimal functioning of their nervous system. It’s always your decision to do so.
Does it hurt to get adjusted?
Getting adjusted should not hurt.
Will chiropractic care relieve my symptoms?
Yes! Chiropractic can help relieve more than back pain.
Chiropractic care will help us find the root cause of your symptoms. It can assist with plenty of things you wouldn’t necessarily associate with chiropractic. If you are wondering whether it’s right for you, we recommend coming in and getting checked out. We’ll tell you if we can help you. If not, we’ll refer you to another provider better suited to your needs.
Why would I have a baby or child adjusted?
Does insurance cover chiropractic?
We aren’t contracted with insurance companies, which means that insurance does not pay us directly. We supply our practice members with super bills so they can get reimbursed directly by their insurance.
Do I need a physician’s referral to see you?
No. We are primary care providers, which means no referral is necessary. All you have to do is pick up the phone to book your appointment!
Do you work with medical doctors?
Yes, we’ll be happy to work with your medical doctor when needed. We even refer out to them when we feel a practice member can benefit from seeing an MD.
Will you work with my OB-GYN or midwife?
Will I get adjusted on my first visit?
No. We do not adjust on the first visit because our entire team needs time to review your case together. That way, we come up with the best possible way to care for your individual needs before adjusting you.
Will you give me exercises to do?
Yes. We like to tell our practice members that this process is 50/50. We’ll do our 50% here in the office with your adjustments. You do your 50% outside the office, and together, we reach 100%. The exercises and stretches you do on your own ensure you’ll progress in a timely manner.
Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?
Not only can they, but they should see a chiropractor. Back surgery means you’ll have limited mobility in your spine, which we can assist with.
